Cardinals Varsity Hockey Hammer Flint Hill 7-2

Captain Alex Simuro netted a breakaway mid-way through the second, and after Flint Hill scored, junior Thomas Garlock tapped home a rebound to restore BI’s two goal lead. The Cardinals displayed magnificent teamwork during an odd man rush as freshman Arthur Seng poked home Garlock’s pass for a 4-1 lead. Nursing a third period two goal lead, Coach DiCarlo called timeout to set his defense for a key penalty kill. Arthur Seng slammed home his second goal just after the penalty kill and sophomore Gray McCulloch notched another to put the game out of reach. Freshman Sarah Payne provided the exclamation point in the final seconds to bring the BI faithful to their feet, resulting in a 7-2 final score.
