Tours

Tours of Bishop Ireton High School are available via the self schedule link below. Tours are about 45 minutes long. If tours are booked, or are not listed at a time that works with your schedule, please email admissions@bishopireton.org.

Open House

Bishop Ireton hosted its annual Open House on October 20, 2024. 

Campus tours are offered year round.  Please clck on the link above to schedule.  The 2025 Open House will be scheduled in fall 2025.  We will update the date on the website as soon as it is scheduled.  

Cardinal for a Day Shadow Program

The Cardinal for a Day Shadow Program is an opportunity for prospective students to spend a day on campus with a current student. The program is open to current 8th graders and interested transfer (9th, 10th, 11th) students.

  • General Information Night  |  October 23, 2024 6-7 PM

    Bishop Ireton is hosting a general information session on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. This event is meant to provide a general overview of Bishop Ireton. It will cover at a glance information on the following topics:  curriculum highlights, faith at Bishop Ireton, student life and athletics. We will also discuss the application process.  It will be hosted by our Director of Admissions with a welcome from our Head of School.  If you have attended a campus tour or the presentation provided before the PreHSPT earlier this summer, this is a repeat of that information. While anyone is invited to attend the general information session, we want to make sure that you are aware of the information that will be presented so you can determine your attendance accordingly.

    There will be no tours at this event.  It is purely an information session.    

    You are encouraged to attend the Open House on October 20, 2024 from 1-3pm to tour campus.  We will have Student Led tours available at the Open House and you can RSVP to that event in a block below.  This information session is an opportunity for additional information post Open House.  

    Where:  Garwood Whaley Auditorium at Bishop Ireton High School, 201 Cambridge Rd., Alexandria, VA  22314.  Please park in the lower parking lot off Cambridge Rd. and proceed to door 15 (Auditorium Entrance) to gain access to Garwood Whaley Auditorium.  
    When:  Wednesday, October 23, 2024
    Time:  6-7pm (doors open at 5:45pm, we will start promptly at 6pm)
    Who:  Prospective Parents (students are welcome to join as well)

  • Special Services Night  |  October 29, 2024 5:30-6:30 PM

    The Bishop Ireton Special Services department offers a variety of supports to help our students succeed with our college prep curriculum.  We understand that students learn in different ways. If you are interested in learning more about the Special Services programs offered at Bishop Ireton, we invite you to attend Special Services Night.    Dr. Aga Snyder, Director of Special Services, will host a presentation that reviews the different types of programming offered, discusses accommodations and how students with learning needs can meet the rigor of our academic curriculum.  

    When:  Tuesday, October 29, 2024
    Time:  5:30pm-6:30pm
    Where:  Bishop Ireton High School, 201 Cambridge Rd., Alexandria, VA  22314

    Please enter through door 15 off the lower parking lot.  The presentation will take place in the Garwood Whaley Auditorium. 

    Who:   While this event is open for anyone to attend, it's most beneficial for parents of students who currently have learning plans (SAP, 504, IEP, etc...) in place or parents of students who have a diagnosed learning difference.  It's also beneficial for parents of students who may not have an accommodation plan but could use assistance with planning and organization.  

    This event is geared towards parents but your student is welcome to attend with you if you like.

  • Special Services Zoom Meetings

    While Special Services Night will provide general information about all of our Special Services programs, our Director of Special Services, Dr. Snyder, is happy to schedule individual zoom meetings.  These zoom meetings will provide you with the one on one opportunity to discuss your child's specific learning needs and how our programs can support, please click on the link below to schedule.
