Senior Named National Merit Semifinalist

Bishop Ireton High School is proud to announce that senior Andrew Matherne has been named a semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Andrew now has the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,140 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million, to be awarded in spring 2024.

The nationwide pool of 16,000 semifinalists are the highest-scoring entrants on the 2022 PSAT/NMSQT in each state and represent less than 1% of each state's high school seniors.
